MEDIA RESOURCES

These are resources that I have personally found to be the most helpful, informative, and consistent with sustainability values.

Top Editor's Picks

The Story of Stuff documentary

This is one of the main videos that just about every sustainably-minded person will recommend.  It is only 20 minutes and lays out some simple starter principles.

"You can not run a linear system on a finite planet indefinitely...let's fill in some of the blanks and see what's missing".

Consumed by Aja Barber

Consumed

"What do we change?
1. The way we buy.

2. The amount we purchase.

3. How those within the supply chain are treated.

4. Ourselves and how we participate in and perpetuate this system."

A Plastic Ocean documentary

"Plastic is wonderful because it is durable and plastic is terrible because it is durable. Almost every piece of plastic ever made is still on the planet in some form or another....the problem with that is that only a fraction of the plastic that we produce is recycled. The rest ends up in our environment and it's coating our land and our oceans like a disease...Even if you don't live near the ocean, chances are your plastic garbage has found it's way to the sea."

How to Save a Planet podcast

"I know that human ingenuity, our caring for one another, and our working within communities will get us to where we need to be because, in fact, it's what got us to where we are today. It's time for us to just step up and shut up."
